Welcome!

Welcome to MD+ (and a warm welcome to medical school for all our M1s)! For those who come from non-traditional backgrounds, we hope that you find kinship in this space, as many of us have had careers in industry before transitioning to medicine. For those who came into medicine more traditionally, we love that you’re interested in exploring this intersectional plus space with us. We hope that for those who find us virtually (or in-person!) that you can gain at least one insight, one connection, or one opportunity that will help you on your aspiring physician-innovator journeys.

Our Community Values

Since our public launch in 2020, we have grown now to a Slack community of over 3,000 members. While it is great that we have gained this much traction in such a short period of time, we want to take some time to reflect on what a community is supposed to be, and propose some guiding lights for our members, both new and old.

The intent behind MD+ was always to be a community for medical students and by medical students. Medical students are uniquely positioned to engage with the value that a community like MD+ brings because it is often the last opportunity for folks interested in healthcare innovation to define their relationship with clinical medicine.
